True Friends: The Treasure of Lifelong Bonds

Hi to all, hope you are doing good. Thanks for showing interest in my blog, keep visiting, liking and leaving your comments. Would love to connect.

Today was thinking about a friend very dear to me so, thought to pour out my feelings about the importance of having a true friend.

So, why do you think we need a friend? Why are friends so important? Who is a real friend?

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. – Walter Winchell

A friend is a boon in anyone’s life. This is the only person who you select on your own by your own choice. This person is one, who doesn’t really judge you and neither do you. He/she is that one person you would love to pour your heart out without a doubt. A true friend is like a therapist, who hears you when you need to share something heavy or a soother when you are ailing. This person is someone, who without a thought will help you pour out whatever you have in you. He/she will then try to make you understand whether what you feeling is right or wrong. That’s what a true friend does. Do you guys feel the same?

True friendship isn’t about being there when it’s convenient; it’s about being there when it’s not

It is a boon to have that 1 friend in your life, with whom you can share your thoughts or clear your thoughts with. The best part of a friend is like, even if you don’t talk to that person each and every day once you talk, you connect like you were never disconnected. The best of friends will fight and reunite cause if there is no fight then it means you are not tight. A true friend is your best critic and an admirer too (very rare LOL), that’s why he/she is your best friend. Don’t you agree guys? For me friends hold a very important place in my life. I treasure my friends and always keep them very safe in my heart. Having a friend in life is like keeping the child in you alive. With friends you don’t have to behave in a certain way, rather you can be your freest self. You don’t have to think and speak, you are not calculative, manipulative, organized … You can just be you, and you can take that privilege with your friends always.

The best time to make friends is before you need them Ethel Barrymore

Friends are never chosen by your needs they come along when you desire to have one. When you connect with a person in some way or the other you welcome a friend in your life. Also, true friends can bring a spark in your life in your darkest phase and pull you out from it. Their trust in you and the love for you keeps you connected with them though, you don’t have any blood relation. Friends come into your life with a purpose, to keep the inner child in you alive forever. You know you have a true friend when, you can feel your pain in their eyes and see your joys in their smile. I value friendship a lot and have many friends in my life, I respect their being in my life and so do they. The feeling of being a friend to someone is so nice that it’s beyond an explanation. When you are the person in that friend’s life who brings a smile on their face is what a true friendship is.

Let me tell you a story of a friend of mine. When I was down with a severe COVID in the second wave, and I was struggling with it badly but fiercely. One night was really tough in that period, and I had really given up on my fight as it was really bad. That night I said a small prayer and gave in to the supreme power to take a decision for me. I don’t know that time I fell asleep, or I passed out. But next day when I woke up, I got a video call from a very dear friend of mine, and I was still lying on my bed and struggling to talk to her. She said, ‘you look so unwell I don’t like seeing you like this, you take care will talk to you later’. And while she was disconnecting the call I saw her wiping a drop of tear from her eye. That one gesture made me feel so good that it gave me a new zeal to fight back. So, this is the power of a true friend, they can bring that one spark in you that lets you overcome your fears and doubts.

Friendship is like a treasure, its value is hard to measure,

It becomes precious day by day, and makes you wealthy in a unique way.

This was my story, and I hope you have your one too. Would love to know about yours. Please feel free to share that one person you get back to, when you are at your most vulnerable self. Would love to hear your story as well.

    Ciao.

Understanding Your Spiritual Connection: A Path to Self-Awareness

Hi everybody, hope you all are doing good. Also, thanks for showing interest in my blog and visiting me here.

How important is spirituality in your life?

So, coming to the topic how important is spirituality in your life? Well in that case I would like to say that spirituality has different meanings for every other person. Some people feel it’s your connection with your religious beliefs, your cultural practices and beliefs, understanding your connection with your own self, one’s belief in divine power etc. It can be very person specific as in how one sees or relates to spirituality. Spirituality can also mean to seek out or search for personal growth, religious experience, belief in a supernatural realm or afterlife, or to make sense of one’s own “inner dimension”.

For me spirituality is my connect with myself, my self-awareness, understanding my conscious and subconscious self. I do this by diving deep inside myself and understanding what makes me happy and calm. I do believe in an ultimate power that I seek help from when in times of trouble, which has helped me build my can-do attitude. Spirituality is a sense of knowing yourself from within so well that in turn you get to know your relationships well and you connect with others even better. Also, spirituality helps us understand the importance of contentment.

If you are happy with yourself, happy with the people you have in your life, feel content with whatever you have (materialistic needs) then you can feel calmness in yourself. This calmness is also a form of spirituality, cause when you are calm your soul is happy and allows the mind and body to connect. This doesn’t mean you stop desiring from life however, you should not become a slave to your desires but be their masters so that you can fulfill them when its time.

I find spirituality in my realistic attitude which helps me stay grounded and prioritize my needs to my desires. Needs usually are the things that are more realistic like my current need is to get my child admitted to a good college. Desire would be more materialistic like I desire to go on a holiday. But here if I am a slave to my desire I will give in to my desire than fulfilling my need, which will later make me feel guilty. And guilt is a negative feeling which will not help me keep calm and thus not connect to my inner self. So, learning your needs and your desires is also a way of self-awareness which in turn leads us to spirituality. The more self-aware you are the more you have balance in your life and the more you will feel spiritually connected with your own self. Once you learn to connect with your own self its only then can you connect to the universe or to a supreme power you believe in.

So, if you are spiritually connected to your own self, you know yourself well enough to know others well too.

So, what does spirituality mean to you? Please share your thoughts and insights would love to know more.
